Hello!

 Hello world! My name is Michaela! I'm currently a freshman in high school. I'm a second-generation American. My parents are from Trinidad and Dominica.  This is my first blog 😁.  I wanted to start a blog because I wanted to create a space where I can share my love of books and anything else I'm interested in. I will be blogging reviews of books that I have read and recommending new ones.  Most, if not all, of these books will be in the YA genre (Young Adult). If that does not interest you, I understand. I will try to post every week, but life happens. If I miss a day, I'll make sure to make it up!  

I also encourage interaction in the comment section! Don't be afraid to make a suggestion. That way I'll be able to improve my blog and help make this a safe, respectful, and enjoyable space for everyone 😊. I hope that this is the beginning of a successful and long-term blog.

  Over winter break, I had the pleasure to see Robert Eggers' most recent masterpiece Nosferatu . This gothic horror film is a remake of the 1922 silent German Expressionist film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror . The sets and sound design were phenomenal. The acting? Chef's kiss. Lily-Rose Depp's performance was fantastic! A true standout amongst the star-studded cast.  Hello everyone!  Today is a little different from before! I will be giving my honest review for one of my favorite skincare brands, Nature's Touch. So buckle up and get ready for the ride. Nature's Touch is a wellness brand based in Dominica that is dedicated to providing natural health products to its customers. A childhood friend of my mother, founder Misana Harris has changed what wellness looks like in Dominica. She is a natural health care specialist and herbalist who founded Nature's Touch Body Therapy and Wellness Services in 2003. Working in natural healthcare has been a childhood aspiration for the entrepreneur. 2025 🎀

 Hello everyone! Happy New Year! 2024 has had some high highs and quite low lows. Despite all of this, we made it to the end!  While I have posted a bit more this year, I'm hoping to amp up that consistency all throughout 2025. And with that, I figured a new introduction is in order! I'm Michaela! I am a freshman in college (wow...just wow). I'm an International Politics major with a concentration in International Relations. I'm a second generation immigrant. My parents are from the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago and Dominica respectively.  I love horror, romance, ancient history, black philosophy, black diasporic studies, spirituality, astrology, and astronomy. Some of my hobbies include creative writing, painting, traveling, singing, reading, and playing the piano.
